Manufacturing Engineer – Position Summary

This role supports the manufacturing, testing, and continuous improvement of medical device generator systems. The position combines manufacturing engineering, process optimization, technical documentation, product support, and contract manufacturer collaboration to ensure efficient production and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Process Support

  • Observe, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for generator production.
  • Support manufacturing efficiency initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Assist with technology transfers and manufacturing activities involving contract manufacturers.
  • Provide technical support to external manufacturing partners.

Product & Component Engineering

  • Review component obsolescence issues and identify suitable replacement components.
  • Update engineering documentation and product records under engineering guidance.
  • Support change management activities related to components, manufacturing processes, and product updates.

Testing & Data Analysis

  • Perform testing using approved test methods and engineering procedures.
  • Learn and operate laboratory and manufacturing test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Analyze test results and engineering data to support technical decision-making.
  • Prepare engineering reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Approximately 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, engineering documentation, testing, and process improvements.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and tracking project deliverables.
