Sales Director (m/f/x) Remote

Information about our customer:

Our client is an innovative quantum technology start-up that was spun off from a highly reputable University, and is backed by tier-1 investors from Silicon Valley and Europe. Their mission is to leverage their unique know-how and IP in quantum technologies to become a front-runner in the development and commercialisation of novel medical imaging modalities. This technology will advance the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders.

What will your activities as the "Sales Director" involve?

  • You will lead and drive the acquisition of new business within the field of MRI research (MRI research labs).
  • You will play a key role in creating a sales network in the MRI research industry within the USA (priority), and/or within the EU.
  • You will act as the liaison point between the engineering team and senior professors within the MRI research space.
  • You will perform the technical sales of medical technology, with a highly in-depth, and consultative approach.
  • You will advise on and define sales processes & strategies within MRI research.
  • You will be tasked with the hands-on effort to build a solid sales network, and to create the foundation to later construct a sales organisation within the company.
  • You will be required to negotiate, as well as execute the closure of deals with new and existing customers.

What skills should the next "Sales Director" bring along?

  • Successfully completed university studies within a life science, or relevant technical field.
  • Sound understanding of processes surrounding sales to research labs within the EU or USA (ideally both).
  • Profound knowledge of sales processes related to MRI research.
  • A consultative approach to sales, with an ability to rapidly get up to speed with the technical product details.
  • A fascination with technology, as well as a mindset geared towards making a difference.
  • Highly skilled within the of closing deals.
  • Previous experience in selling equipment to MRI labs, radiology labs (PET/CT), or with large scale diagnostic/lab equipment (in order of relevance).
  • Demonstration of independent work and initiative in the development of technical sales strategies.
  • A highly motivated approach to work, with the hunger to bring things forward.
  • Over 5 years of professional working experience within sales into research labs.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • This role can be fully remote in either Europe or USA.
