I have partnered with a groundbreaking Medical Device Company, on their search for a Senior Driver Console Development Engineer, that will be a key member of their R&D team, creating a product that will have a serious impact on the lives of patients worldwide!!

Location: Netherlands

The role is offering you the opportunity to be a key member in the development of a new and innovative device that supports Interventional Cardiologists to stabilise patients in times of acute heart failure, or patients undergoing high-risk coronary procedures

You will work closely with the Test Engineers and Product Development Engineer. As a team, they are responsible for matching the pVAD system technical requirements and interface design. Furthermore, his/ her task is to give support in other mechatronic challenges that are encountered in in-house device development and testing of the pVAD devices.

Key Responsibilities:
* Translation of pump output requirements into a concrete driver console design.
* Electromechanical design of console, actuator & pump elements
* Continuous calibration of the driver requirements with the stakeholders
* Ability to achieve the right balance between technical functionality and user-friendliness.
* Being the project leader from initial console prototyping onto series manufacturing at the companies vendors

Must Haves:
* Experience in development of medical / cardiovascular devices and their HMI or experience working within a highly regulated industry (Aerospace/Automotive)
* Knowledge of and experience with sensors and actuators.
* Knowledge of control systems.
* Programming skills in real-time control environments. Experience with PLC design is a pre.
* Basic knowledge of the V-model is preferred.
* Experience with 3D CAD design (Solidworks) is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills in English and preferably one other European language
* Master's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
