Lead IT Infrastructure EMEA (m/f/x) | Hamburg - 60% remote | MedTech

In this position you are responsible for supporting the Global Infrastructure Lead to define the overall infrastructure strategy and providing operational insights. Your work will mainly focus on the following areas:



These tasks are waiting for you:

  • Identify the approach to overseeing major infrastructure outsourcing partners in the region. Provide day-to-day guidance to the infrastructure team within the region about routine and escalated interaction with the major outsourcing partners
  • Lead the regional Infrastructure Engineering team disciplinarily and functionally (32+ positions)
  • Create a broad understanding of the infrastructure budget for the region to ensure that targets can be met
  • Implement and oversee standards and procedures to guarantee the efficient running of the core IT infrastructure technologies
  • Responsible for continually reevaluating, improving, maintaining, and establishing core IT infrastructure and services so they are fit for purpose
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line IT support for IT infrastructure
  • Identify causes of infrastructure problems
  • Employ, manage, maintain and support the core infrastructure security environment aligned with the controls set by the IT Security Team
  • Lead and appraise team members so that their individual and collective performance is in line with the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business

This completes your profile:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related fields
  • Highly skilled in overseeing infrastructure outsourcing partners
  • 7+ years of experience in designing, developing and operating IT infrastructure
  • Strong experience in dealing with major IT incidents and thorough understanding of BCP
  • Being capable of designing, delivering, and supporting hosting storage and virtual infrastructure
  • Several years of experience in managing teams
  • Knowledge of infrastructure products, services and techniques required to support effective technology infrastructures
  • Exceptional working knowledge of IT security principles especially around the practice and governance of vulnerability scanning and patching
  • Fluent English skills in speaking and writing
