Principal Position in a Drug Discovery Biotech - Direct Progression to Head of - Cambridge Area

An established yet growing, innovative biotech is expanding their chemistry focused CADD team, they are collaborating with innovative biopharmaceutical companies to academic organisations from across the globe in pursuit to promote progress of the typically slow drug discovery process. Due to their consistent and sustained growth, we are looking to add an experienced individual to add value to a variety of drug discovery projects. Truly life changing work.

We are actively recruiting for a principal computational chemist. An individual ready to take on computational chemistry challenges from day 1 and is looking to lead a team. This hire will be the first into a new computational comp chem team and we are ideally looking for someone to eventually progress into the head of computational chemistry. A unique position where you will gain industry experience whilst still progress with your own development with training from specialists with over 15 years of industry experience.

You will be a Principal Computational Chemist working on a variety of internal and external projects, given the responsibility to build and lead a team (if of interest) under you. Gaining an abundance of experience through innovative drug discovery projects and determining the future direction of your team will take.

To be the right fit for this role you will be the following:
- Phd in Computational Chemistry or a related field
- 5+ years of computational chemistry experience within a drug discovery environment
- Open to relocation or commute to Cambridge 2/3 days a week

This position is looking to pay up to £80,000 (depending on experience) and is based in the Cambridge area!
