Laboratory Manager - Cell Biology Cambridge

A growing UK Biotech looking to develop synthetic stem cell biology is looking for a new Laboratory Manager. Their technologies are constantly evolving and they are looking for a Laboratory Manager to take a key role in managing both lab based research scientists as well as the laboratory facility.
The company technology has the potential to revolutionise the production of cells to allow for stable and scalable production of gene therapies. The company is expanding rapidly with this phase and will offer an amazing opportunity to help set the culture of the company.

Key responsibilities include:


* Ensure a safe, high quality environment managing teams and work across the projects
* Make informed decisions regarding effective use of laboratory space, equipment and general consumable purchases, as well as training and health and safety processes.
* In addition to seeing that the labs are well-supplied, well-maintained, and that individuals have received appropriate training to be considered competent in the lab.
* You will maintain the lab to high quality standards, including managing SOPs, equipment maintenance and validation.

To be considered for the Laboratory Manager role you'll need the following skills and experience; A biological degree, MSc or PhD - in Cell Biology, Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Applied Biology, Pharmacology, Demonstrable experience of managing a team, including experience of maintaining a lab to high quality standards including managing SOPs, equipment maintenance and validations.
