Job Description

The Team Leader - Quality is responsible for the following:

  • Manage QC release testing of medical devices
  • Manage incoming medical device component inspection activities
  • Manage the day to day activities of staff, providing guidance and coaching, and scientific leadership towards specific project objectives

Job description

  • Apply a high level of technical knowledge to QC release testing activities
  • Manage a group of staff conducting QC testing activities relating to medical devices
  • Provide day-to-day line management support and coaching, including performance development reviews for reports
  • Oversee planning and execution of day to day and week to week activities
  • Conduct reviews of release testing to the requirements of GMP
  • Lead problem solving activities using appropriate techniques and devise courses of action
  • Scientific leadership for experimental design and analysis
  • Review and approval of technical protocols and reports and other relevant documentation required for GMP
  • Ensure compliance to quality and health and safety requirements for areas of work and the work of line reports
  • To carry out internal audits as dictated by the internal audit schedule
  • Provide support to the Qualified Person and Senior Quality Manager as appropriate
  • Drive quality, productivity and efficiency standards

  • Preferable degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline
  • Proven experience in relevant area of core expertise and a broad understanding of the industry and regulations
  • Proven potential for line management
  • Previous relevant experience whether from a post graduate qualification rising through the company system or from another Pharmaceutical/Quality environment
