Mechanical Engineer – Implantable Medical Devices (m/f/d)
Your mission
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative medical technology company developing next-generation implantable neurotechnology.
You will play a key role in developing advanced implantable systems designed to address significant unmet needs in healthcare and expand the possibilities of human-machine interaction.
Your responsibilities
•Design and develop hermetically sealed housings and packaging solutions for implantable devices.
•Evaluate encapsulation materials and manufacturing processes, including ceramics, titanium and polymers.
•Integrate electrodes, electronics, chips and connectors into implantable systems.
•Develop test methods for leak testing, mechanical stress testing and accelerated ageing.
•Use CAD and FEA for design, simulation and design-for-manufacturing optimisation.
•Coordinate interfaces with electronics, electrode, manufacturing and external development teams.
Your profile
•Passion for developing next-generation medical technology in a fast-moving environment.
•Experience in mechanical design and packaging for implantable or hermetically sealed systems; Class III medical-device experience is an advantage.
•Technologies for chronic implants.
•Proficiency in CAD, FEA and rapid prototyping.
•Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with an end-to-end approach to product development.
•Degree or doctorate in mechanical engineering, materials science, biomedical engineering, neuroengineering, microsystems engineering or a related field.
