Why Minnesota is a growing focus for SciPro’s MedTech team

Minnesota continues to be an important market for SciPro’s MedTech team. Over the past 12 months, we have welcomed four new clients and made nine placements across the Twin Cities, supporting teams across R&D, Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing.

With that momentum growing, Ben Neves and Lane Adkin headed to Minnesota to spend time with existing partners, meet new businesses and get a closer look at what hiring teams across the region need.

We caught up with Ben following the trip to hear why Minnesota was a priority and what stood out from their time on the ground.

Why did you and Lane decide to travel to Minnesota?

We travelled to Minnesota because of how much momentum we’re seeing in that market. In the last 12 months, we have brought on 4 new clients and made 9 placements across the Twin Cities. Impacting R&D / Product Development teams, Quality departments and Manufacturing floors. We wanted to double down on our focus there, meeting some key partners of ours in person as well as getting introduced with target clients. We know that our clients ask for more than transactional recruitment relationships and are asking for partners, so we wanted to show them our appreciation and understanding for what their critical operations need.

What were your biggest takeaways from the trip?

The food scene here was amazing, we had no idea we would be so spoiled!! Hahah In all seriousness, we had multiple site tours, client lunches each day and qualified multiple new requisitions across our perm, contract and project solutions offerings. One of our proudest moments was a CEO sharing with myself and Lane how he felt like we were “just down the road this whole year” and was shocked to hear we were based in NYC. That meant a lot to me because I’ve prided myself on making sure each hiring team gets white glove service and that’s what I preach to my team. This year we’ve filled a ton of gaps that their own efforts or other third party sources weren’t able to solve and many of those hiring managers praised us for sticking it through and continuing to calibrate based on submission and interview feedback. Many said, we need to be here more. Hoping we can make that happen!

Staying close to the market

For Ben and Lane, the trip was about more than putting faces to names. Spending time inside clients’ businesses, understanding their operations and hearing directly from hiring teams gave the team an even clearer view of the challenges organisations across Minnesota are working through.

As SciPro continues to grow its presence across the Twin Cities, those conversations will help shape how we support clients across permanent hiring, contract recruitment and project solutions.
