Overview:
I am working with a healthcare AI company seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales to lead growth of its Cardio AI platform across cardiology-focused providers, including cardiology practices, hospitals, and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). This predictive AI platform identifies patients at risk for cardiac events, guides next-best clinical actions, and improves outcomes while reducing costs—helping providers intervene before critical events occur.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build the Cardio AI market by targeting cardiology practices, hospital cardiology departments, and ACOs
- Drive adoption of the AI platform through consultative selling, highlighting its ability to predict cardiac events and guide patient-specific interventions
- Develop and manage a high-value pipeline, consistently achieving or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue goals
- Establish and maintain relationships with cardiologists, practice managers, and executive leadership (C-suite) to gain buy-in and demonstrate clinical impact
- Collaborate with internal teams—including product, clinical science, and marketing—to create tailored proposals and support pilot programs
- Provide insights on cardiology market trends, clinical adoption, and competitor activity to inform strategy
Qualifications:
- Proven track record selling to cardiology practices, hospitals, or ACOs, ideally with experience in AI, SaaS, medical devices, or healthcare data solutions
- 8–15+ years of business development or sales experience in cardiology or cardiovascular healthcare markets
- Experience closing large, complex deals ($1M+ ARR) and navigating long, consultative sales cycles
- Deep understanding of cardiology clinical workflows, healthcare economics, and value-based care models
- Strong ability to engage cardiologists, clinical teams, and C-level executives in meaningful conversations about patient outcomes and ROI
- Self-driven and strategic, capable of building a new market channel as an individual contributor
