Founded by Lauren Placencia, MD and brought to you by the SciPro HealthTech team, HealthTech Happy Hour creates space for the conversations that do not always happen in the day-to-day. Through candid podcast discussions and in-person events, the community connects the people building, testing, scaling and improving HealthTech, and gives them a place to share what is working, what is not, and what they are learning along the way.

For episode one, Lauren is joined by Dr. Kate Eisenberg, Senior Medical Director at DynaAI, to explore what it actually takes for AI to earn clinician trust.
Together, they discuss what drives adoption in real clinical settings, what good evaluation looks like when standards are still evolving, why governance cannot stop once a tool is deployed, and how AI can support better care without simply adding another layer of complexity.
Dr. Kate Eisenberg is a family physician, board-certified clinical informaticist and Senior Medical Director at DynaAI, with a background that brings together frontline clinical experience, data and technology.
She also holds a PhD in epidemiology and has spent much of her career exploring how data can be used to improve care delivery and outcomes at both a patient and health-system level.
Through her work on DynaAI, a generative AI-powered clinical decision support tool built on DynaMed, Kate has worked across product development, evaluation and AI governance. That combination of clinical and technical experience gives her a valuable perspective on what AI tools need to get right to earn clinician trust, from solving genuine problems and fitting into existing workflows, to being evaluated and monitored long after launch.
This first conversation sets the tone for what HealthTech Happy Hour is here to do: create space for honest, useful discussions about what is really happening in HealthTech.
