This position is highly detail‑oriented and involves a mix of CAD work, documentation updates, equipment support, and coordination with internal stakeholders.

    • Build and document custom product configurations based on customer specifications.

    • Photograph and document assemblies for internal use.

  • Documentation & Process Support

    • Generate and revise work instructions, labels, and internal specifications.

    • Process engineering documentation updates and change requests with high accuracy.

    • Maintain alignment between BOMs, drawings, and routing information in internal systems.

    • Support the creation and maintenance of product history and development files.

  • Testing & Validation

    • Assist with validation studies, test execution, and data collection.

    • Support first‑article inspections and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).

    • Help ensure products meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.

  • Production & Equipment Support

    • Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and process improvements.

    • Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and basic preventive maintenance.

    • Perform light mechanical repairs and maintain accurate maintenance records.

  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration

    • Work with purchasing, sales, and marketing to provide technical details, prototypes, and documentation.

    • Support cost analysis and part‑level information for internal teams.

    • Participate in continuous improvement efforts across engineering and production.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate or A.S. in a related field preferred.

  • Foundational experience with SolidWorks (entry‑level proficiency acceptable).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.

  • Comfortable working in lab, production floor, and controlled environments.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD/DraftSight or Adobe Illustrator.

  • Exposure to molding, metals fabrication, packaging, or cleanroom processes.

  • Familiarity with documentation control, routing, or ERP systems.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Mix of office, lab, and production‑floor work.

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility.

  • Ability to lift up to ~45 lbs and perform basic mechanical tasks.

  • Occasional microscope work.

  • Must meet requirements for controlled‑environment access.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This role is a strong fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys CAD work and detailed documentation.

  • Prefers structured tasks and consistent workflow.

  • Is early in their career (e.g., recent technical school graduate).

  • Likes hands‑on engineering support but doesn’t need high creative autonomy.

  • Thrives in a steady, production‑driven environment with continuous incoming work.
